POSTGRADUATE DIPLOMA IN EDUCATION
Who is eligible?
PGDE programme is aimed to provide the broad training requisite for general graduates who wish to take up teaching as a career, to get professional training in education. Thus, ALL those having a degree other than education are welcome if they are thinking to engage in the teaching activity.
Why has it been designed?
After graduation from universities and colleges, many holders of the general degrees in either Science or Arts have found their way into the teaching profession without having trained to teach. Thus, to improve their career prospects, and enhance their professional, personal and vocational growth, they need further preparation to become full-fledged professional teachers.
